Australian Network on Disability

Positive Life NSW (formerly People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) NSW) is a non profit community organisation representing the interests of people living with HIV/AIDS in New South Wales. We work to promote a positive image of people affected by HIV/AIDS with the aim of eliminating prejudice, isolation, stigmatisation and discrimination. Incorporated on 21st July 1989 it is partially funded by the government and is dependent on donations. An executive officer manages the organisation in conjunction with an elected board of eight and one staff representative. Full membership is open to any person with HIV living in NSW and associate membership is open to NSW residents affected by HIV/AIDS.
