Stepping into... Darwin!

Applications for Darwin extended until 7th May 2010

For the first time ever the Employers Network is very excited to be able to offer university students with disability from the DARWIN area opportunities in the Stepping into... internship program.

Stepping into... is a four week paid internship program for university students with disability.  The program is designed to provide students with skills and experiences which will assist them to obtain long term employment within their chosen profession.

Stepping into... is a joint initiative of the Australian Network on Disability and the participating organisations.  Applicants are applying to the "Stepping into..." program, not directly to the individual participating organisations.  Please note your preferred organisation in your application if applicable.

The organisations offering internship opportunities in Darwin in 2010 are St George Bank and the Dept Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).

FaHCSIA is particularly looking for students from a law, research or statistics background, and St George is looking for students with a customer service focus, however students from all disciplines are welcome to apply.

Students with disability from indigenous backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
