Assistive technology and accessible Information Communication Technology (ICT) in all forms enables opportunity, freedom and participation for people with disability within the community. What’s more, access to assistive and accessible technology opens the door to services, employment and connectivity for everyone.

The possibilities for organisations to utilise assistive technology to better include their customers, employees and stakeholders are endless.

The Australian Network on Disability in partnership with Microsoft Australia are excited to announce our inaugural member Hackathon, Hack 4 Good, will be taking place from 14 – 16 November in Sydney.

This exclusive, invite only event will bring Australia’s best developer organisations together to support the development of accessible technology solutions that remove barriers for people with disability.

Participating ‘Hackers’ will have the opportunity to use their passion and skills to create assistive technologies, adapt existing technologies or take something as mind blowing as the HoloLens and devise new, innovative uses for people with disability.

Winning teams will have the opportunity to further partner with Microsoft to bring their solutions to life with investment and support from Microsoft’s network of partners.

This event is exclusively available to Gold and Platinum members of the Australian Network on Disability. To find out how to upgrade your membership, or to become a member, please contact the Australian Network on Disability on 02 8270 9200 or email info@and.org.au.
