Access Review of Premises

The Accessibility Review is one of the most popular consultancy services of the Australian Network on Disability (AND).  This service provides an overview of a workplace’s accessibility and assists businesses to ensure they are complying with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability (Access to Premises – Buildings) Standards 2010.

An access review involves a disability access consultant from AND reviewing a work area to identify any specific barriers to potential or existing employees and customers with disability.  Areas reviewed may include individual workstations, one floor of a building, an entire building, an outdoor work area, a factory area, or any identifiable work space.

Recommendations are provided in a comprehensive report, which may then be used by Facilities Managers, Builders and OH&S Managers to eliminate or minimise any barriers identified.  Access Reviews are available for members and non-members.

Making your premises, information, goods and services accessible to employees and customers with disability will make them more accessible to everyone else as well.
