Accessibility

We have made every effort to ensure our Annual National Conference is accessible to everyone. If you have any questions, or require any additional adjustments in order to access the event, please contact us.

Venue

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) has made good efforts to ensure access and inclusion for people with disability.

There are tactile floor indicators in front of all stairwells and escalators. All bathrooms are accessible, including advanced accessible facilities in stadium that include a height-adjustable, adult-sized changing bench and a tracking hoist system.

Accessible parking is available onsite, subject to capacity. Please email conference@and.org.au  if you require an accessible parking space. Vehicles must display a valid accessible parking permit to obtain access.

Plenary

Thanks to our generous Accessibility Sponsor, Ai-Media, live captioning will be available for the entire plenary session. This can be accessed remotely via your personal device, as well as displayed on screens in the venue. A full transcript of the plenary session will be available on our website in the week preceding the conference.

All videos played at the conference will be captioned and audio described, with transcripts available before and after the conference upon request.

If you require accessible, digital versions of printed material available on the day (this includes plain English alternatives), please contact conference@and.org.au. We will have these sent to you prior to the event. You will also be able to access these on our website and through the event app.

There will be a hearing loop available in both the plenary, breakout, and networking drinks sessions.

Auslan interpreters will be present throughout the plenary, breakout, and networking drinks sessions.
