Mental Health and Workforce Wellbeing Training

This half day session will address topics including:

  • Mental health in context
  • Recruitment
  • Talking early
  • Keeping in touch
  • Returning to work
  • Managing ongoing illness at work
  • Managing risk

The successful integration of people with mental health challenges into a workforce almost always requires training of human resources staff, managers and co-workers.  These workshops challenge stereotypes and provide the facts about mental health, and guide the improvement of strategies for employees with mental health conditions.

It is estimated that mental ill health is the third biggest health problem in Australia, after heart disease and cancer, and as such, many employees in Australian organisations will experience a mental health issue.

Supporting the participation and inclusion of people with mental health challenges within your workforce will have positive effects for the organisation as a whole because it facilitates improved conditions for all, improved customer service and a workforce that is representative of the broader community.

This session is ideally suited to anyone in a supervisory role.
