Review of Websites for Accessibility

AND undertakes reviews of websites, specifically to analyse and make recommendations about online recruitment processes undertaken  from the perspective of a potential candidate with disability.

The goal of best practice recruitment is to create a barrier free approach to recruitment and retention that attracts people from the entire talent pool whilst drawing people with the desired skills and abilities to the organisation.  This process maximises opportunities to achieve excellent productivity and retention results and minimises risks to the organisation.

Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 it is unlawful for an employer to treat an applicant with disability less favourably because of their disability.

Employers also have an obligation to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate existing or potential employees with disability.  The obligation to make reasonable adjustments for people with disability extends to all aspects of employment, including the interview, recruitment and selection phases.
