Senior Disability Consultant, Accessible Action

Amanda Lawrie-Jones is an experienced HR Professional and Disability Consultant with a passion for implementing policies and processes within organizations, enabling an inclusive environment for employees, customers and community. Her current role as MetroAccess Officer at City of Port Phillip supports and promotes building inclusive communities for people of all abilities.

Amanda’s leadership in this area is demonstrated by her commitment to her community connections with a range of Board experience, including; Equal Employment Opportunity Network (EEON), Independent Disability Services, City of Melbourne Disability Advisory Committee and more recently as the President of Scleroderma Victoria. 

As someone who has navigated life as a person with disability, Amanda is a strong advocate for shifting mindsets and breaking down barriers in order to influence people to think differently about disability. With her ability to facilitate and speak about her vision to advance people with disability, Amanda enjoys empowering others and making a difference to changing attitudes.
