The Australian Council of Trade Unions is the nation’s peak body for organised labour, representing Australian workers and their families.

Established in 1927, the ACTU is made up of 41 affiliates and advocates nationally and internationally on a range of industrial, social and economic issues.

Unions are active every day campaigning in workplaces and communities around Australia for better job security, pay and conditions, rights at work, healthier and safer workplaces, and a fairer and more equal society.
