Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS)

Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS)

Established in 1973 under an act of Federal Parliament, the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) is the nation’s premier screen and broadcast school. AFTRS’ purpose is to find and empower Australian talent to shape and share their stories with the world by delivering the most future-focused education, research and training, while striving to be the reference point for innovation in screen, sound, and story-making, globally. To ensure AFTRS reflects Australian society, diversity is supported across all the School’s activities, with a focus on applying best practice in diversity initiatives. AFTRS’ scholarship program has also been expanded to allow as many individuals as possible to access the education, training and employment opportunities the School has to offer.
