City of Sydney

City of Sydney

The City of Sydney is the local government authority responsible for the city centre and around 30 surrounding suburbs. Our programs seek to ensure Sydney remains green, global and connected for more than 200,000 residents, 20,000 businesses, and 1.2 million daily workers and visitors.

Having a diverse workforce means we can better serve these diverse communities.

Principles of diversity and inclusion are at the core of our recruitment, organisational learning, performance management and leadership programs.

Our disability action plan focuses on developing positive community attitudes and behaviours and more liveable communities for people with disability and carers.

It includes actions to help achieve a higher rate of meaningful employment participation by people with disability and carers through inclusive employment practices. And it includes actions for more equitable access to mainstream services for people with disability through better systems and processes.
