Access and Inclusion Plan Masterclass. Increase the inclusivity of your Board, and more.

Access and Inclusion Plan Master Class

All significant change needs a plan to succeed and becoming an accessible workplace is no exception. We are proud to launch a new offering to support organisations to successfully scope, consult, develop, and launch an Access and Inclusion Plan (AIP).

Learn from other organisations on the journey as you attend informative workshops facilitated by us, hear from guest speakers sharing top tips, and attend collaborative learning sessions where you work on the development of your Plan! At the end of the Master Class, you will have all the resources, knowledge and understanding you need to create an Access and Inclusion Plan.

Registrations close COB Tuesday 15 March, with the workshops running from 22 March through to 28 June. For more information or to register your interest, email Amber Tratter at or call 0407 815 311.

We will also be hosting information sessions in the second week of March for anyone interested in learning about the workshops further.

Is your Board Inclusive of People with Disability?

Low awareness, confidence and capability of Directors to welcome and include people with disability is one of the main causes of the discrepancy in the representation of people with disability on Australian boards.

The Australian Network on Disability and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) are partnering to provide an active solution to build the capability of company directors and Australian boardrooms.

Ask your board to challenge their views and tackle unconscious bias by mentoring a leader with disability this year.

Support for employers to attract and retain employees with disability.

Support for employers to attract and retain employees with disability.

The Department of Social Services has recently announced a grant funding opportunity. The Building Employer Confidence and Inclusion in Disability Grant Opportunity is an open, competitive grant that closes Wednesday 23 February 2022.

This grant aims to build the confidence and ability of employers to hire, support and retain employees with disability and create inclusive workplaces by breaking down attitudinal barriers about people with disability. More information is available on the Community Grants Hub website and Grant Connect.

We will also be applying to this grant so we can further support our network. We welcome interested members to reach out to learn more.
