Since the Access and Inclusion Index was launched in 2016, 65 organisations have evaluated their performance and contributed to the Benchmark Report findings. 30% of those organisations have continued to check their progress against the Index by participating year on year.
This year, 24 members embarked on the journey and used the Access and Inclusion Index to evaluate and benchmark their disability confidence. These included public, private and for-purpose sector organisations from a wide range of industries, such as finance, insurance, retail, technology, community services, transportation and utilities. The size of these organisations ranges from multinational to smaller Australian enterprises and in total they employ approximately 420,000 people.
This year, we’re excited to announce to top performers are:
- Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT)
- Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
Congratulations to the top three organisations, who each scored over 80% and demonstrated their long-term commitment, and investment, in access and inclusion of people with disability as customers, employees and stakeholders.
