#PurpleLightUp 24-hour Global Broadcast
There are an estimated 386 million employees with disability worldwide. What will you do to celebrate their economic contribution during International Day of People with Disability on the 3rd December 2020?
This year the Australian Network on Disability are working with the global #PurpleLightUp campaign to bring you an exciting new way of celebrating International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).
On 3 December, the world’s first #PurpleLightUp 24-hour Global Broadcast will kick off from the shores of Australia and the Australian Network on Disability is proud to be hosting the start of this great event.
#PurpleLightUp is a global movement that celebrates and draws attention to the economic power of the 386 million employees with disability. From sunrise in Australia to sunset in New York, #PurpleLightUp will bring together CEOs, senior champions, ERG leaders and more, from six continents, to share their stories and strides towards disability inclusion.
At 9am (AEDT), this free Global Broadcast will start with three hours of celebration, panel discussions and interviews. There will be a sense of global unity throughout the broadcast as the location of speakers will light up purple in #PurpleLightUp’s digital world map.
